“On the Nature of LARS” documents the first musical encounter between LARS and Michael Wollny, recorded at Teldex Studios in Berlin. The project premiered as an art installation within the “Musica Ex Machina“  exhibition at EPFL Pavilions.

The recording features two distinct setups: one with a single digital grand piano, and another with two instruments.

Below are excerpts from both the installation and the studio session at Teldex Studios in August 2024. All music was fully improvised by both performers.
